CASE STUDY    14   Interactive Media Content
A long-standing book client recently approached PreMediaGlobal with a problem.
They were sorely lacking in interactive media content for their business list and
were losing sales because competitors were already ahead of them. Within a very
short time, they needed to have ingested in their proprietary delivery system sufficient
video content and interactive material worth several months of work and materials.
Our media and development groups quickly assembled staff and contract personnel,
ranging from a strong project manager to permissions experts to researchers and
writers. From our company’s databases we called upon existing content providers to
deliver video. We culled dozens of suitable videos, and then used our project manage-
ment and permissions expertise to whittle the field down to the acceptable volume.
We then worked hand in hand with the providers to clear all permissions. Following
that, we delivered all approved media to our writing team, which delivered refined
content back to our project manager, who then turned to our media experts.
Our media production experts converted the content to HTML and developed inter-
active assessments for the content using Flash and Articulate. We then mapped the
material to multiple chapters of multiple products and finally ingested the videos
and interactive activities directly into the client’s proprietary system. We cleared
the client’s content backlog demand in less than 2 weeks, bringing them current
with the competition. Based on this success, we have teamed with this client on further
audio, visual, and interactive lectures and multimedia components.
